Advanced product custom option

We implemented Advance Product Custom Option to broaden the shopping experience for Kilt Rental USA’s visitors while improving the usability of the store. It had a check-box for adding accessories, occasion date and other values. It also had a drop-down option for multiple select and present each product variants at its best.


The major challenge was the end of support for Magento 1. And, we appreciate the client here for keeping a buffer between the switching of platforms and end of support timeline as we can always refer to the older version for any initial functional complications in Magento 2 and seek support from the Magento team. Other challenges include poor UI for the mobile site in Magento 1 and limited payment gateway options.


We provided the client with a state-of-the-art Ecommerce store upgraded to Magento 2.2.5 and instrumented with other technology like PHP, MySQL, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap. The store offered high-end customization for the selection of the products. We implemented PayPal checkout option on the product page and Authorize.Net Customer Information Manager (CIM) for payments, which provides Magento ‘token’ access for future transactions without storing any sensitive credit card data on merchant’s servers. We also implemented an advanced product option or custom option display based on the selections made by the users.

We offered customer review implementation on product pages through YortPo and Quick View, a unique feature of Magento 2 that allows users to view and select the products from the product pop-ups despite going to the product page.

The upgrade from Magento 1 to Magento 2 offered better UI/UX without hampering the flow and functioning of the website. The site was highly optimized for mobile to offer enhanced Mobile User Interface. The new site had Webmaster and Google Analytics with enhanced commerce for better data mining and revenue tracking.

The list of state-of-the-art features like advance mega menu, search Autocomplete, one step checkout, abandoned cart, advance shipping rules and more took the Ecommerce to the next level. The easy order management with order edit functionality helped the sales team in handling the orders better. Also, the advanced dynamic banner slider management assisted the marketing team in running various offers simultaneously.
