Why should you redesign your website?

Sometimes, even small changes can make a HUGE impact on your bottom line. This article will cover some of the reasons you may want to consider making some changes.

These are some of the questions to consider when you’re wondering if your site really needs some work or not.

1.Is your website really performing as well as you want or how you thought it would?

Your website is a marketing tool. When it was first launched, you could only guess how it would perform but now you have real data. Chances are, that data could help you make some changes to make your website work harder for you and make you more money.

2.Are you getting traffic but not sales?

Getting people to your website is half the battle. Now that you’ve had a website for a while, there are ways to tell where customers lose interest, get confused or leave for another page. You can use this information to fix the spots that are causing your customers to leave and get more sales.

3.Does your website really look as good as it should/does it feel secure to customers?

This is a tough question. Understandably, most people have a hard time seeing trouble with their own site. This is because it looks how YOU want. The problem is, it really needs to work for your customers much more than you. It’s important that your site makes customers feel good about shopping there. More importantly, do customers feel their credit card information is safe on your site? Your site may be incredibly secure but it needs to project that image for customers to trust it.

4.How old is your site?

Technology changes fast. A website designed just a few years ago may not look modern enough or have modern features (like the ability to work on mobile devices). This matters when customer try to look up your store when they’re away from their computer. It also goes along with my previous point. A site that looks older gives the impression that it might not be very secure or have updated security to keep your customers’ information safe.

5.And the MOST important thing you can do is…

Try to look at your website as if you were a customer, shopping there for the first time. If you’re not ready to get a professional consultation, have a friend take a look at your site and ask them for their honest feedback. It’s easy to miss trouble spots when they aren’t troublesome to you. Ultimately, your website is only as good as it is to your customers. So the better it works for them, the more money it’ll make for you.
